CWLA Announces New Executive Director

SAN DIEGO, CA (July 15, 2019) -- The California Women’s Leadership Association (CWLA) has named Kathryn (Kate) Sanchez as executive director of the organization committed to bringing together influential women to effect change in their communities. CWLA celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2019.

Kate Sanchez, a California native, brings a decade of experience in policy, community engagement, development, and public relations to CWLA. She is a strong advocate of smaller government, individual freedom, and very active in electing more women and like-minded thinkers to office. As a former representative for former Congressman Darrell Issa and Associate Director of Development for the CA Policy Center, she believes that more women should play a larger role in the arena of California public policy. Sanchez and her family live in Orange County.

“The Board of Directors is excited and optimistic about Kate’s leadership and vision for CWLA,” stated Peggi Buff, CWLA Chairwoman. “She has an in-depth knowledge of California and its local and federal government and is the right person to guide CWLA forward.”

Sanchez is dedicated to continuing the work of education and membership recruitment.

California Women’s Leadership Association (CWLA) is a 501(c)(4) statewide organization committed to bringing together influential women to effect meaningful change in our communities and government through education and advocacy. CWLA develops strategies for those who seek to become part of the political process, whether to run for office, work behind the scenes, attain appointed position or become community leaders on subjects of personal importance.
